I Crucified the Beast over A Hot Green Cross.

"Bring me the 10kg hammer and the seven 10 inch sharp nails so that I can tighten this beast on the cross", I said this to my friend while sweating and boiling with rage. No, that is not the beginning of the story...... it began this way....

It was yesterday, in the outskirts of  Dar es Salaam, at the famous place called mabwepande, what? is it mabwepande? oh no! its not mabwepande, just another area of the city I can't recall properly. It was almost 1800hrs when the sun's arrows illuminated the corrugated iron sheets of houses in this nameless street. The arrows of the sun shone bright like tongues of hundred lions aiming a single small healthy calf.

We were just having a small walk along the streets with my friends. We walked along a certain small but very dense bush. The bush was beautifully covered  with red colored trees and a blue land. I asked my friends about the mystery of this land and they shrugged saying that they knew nothing. Several questions were born in my mind, why are these trees red? why is this soil blue? This questions swam up and down in my brain finding no concrete answer. I kept quiet.

We kept on walking, till 1900hrs. I was getting worried and had to ask one of my friends who was older than the rest of us, his name was Simeon. But, in an account of surprise, Simeon stared at me like a he-goat, his eyes having a "shut-up-and-follow me command", he didn't speak, I obeyed and followed. We walked, walked and walked, very quiet, while I was terrified, my  friends were very bold. I knew nothing, till 2100hrs when we reached at a certain place called "the skull".

When reached "the skull", Simeon spoke in a slow commanding tone, "Comrades, tonight we are going to hunt the beast who steals GOLD from our mines and crucify him", I laughed loudly, because I knew that this man was sick! "This is sickness", I told him. I told him he was sick and perhaps his brain had been transformed to real porridge or crushed to little useless cabbages! He too and the other friend laughed in response to my insight.

I don't exactly remember what happened, but in a flush of moment I saw a big bellied tycoon, the man I knew very well! This man is the owner of a certain company dealing with supplying various goods like soaps, tea, wheat flour, sugar, charcoal and human meat, human meat? human meat did I say? Yes, you did say that! "What a strange trader", I retorted, unbelieving. So, this very strange devil came where we had stood. He was well dressed, a blue suit, a nice white necktie; but he wore no shoes! He was bare-feet, I looked carefully only to find that he had a pair of feet similar to that of a beast; round feet with five sharp claws in them. This man wore a terrifying smile on his face. It wasn't a smile so to speak, but he had his pair of lips open like a mad dog. I saw two or three blood red sharp metals like teeth in his mouth. Furthermore, he wore a green hat on his hairy head. I concluded that he was not a human being but a hairy worm or animal with a beak!  I almost broke into a run had Simeon not instructed me to be patient.

In the meantime, I had stopped thinking, the man in blue suits dipped his hands in his pockets and drew out a shining metal and started laughing....ha! ha! ha! ha!h.. his laughter echoed to the tall twin towers in the city. I covered my ears, terrified. He then spoke in a terrifying trembling but firm tone, "...boys, business is my mother, I am ready to sell my mother if she fetches a better price in the market. As a matter of fact, I have signed a contract this very evening with one of my friends from China, I want to sell him a piece of land, yes that land claimed to have oxygen gas, I will sell it for 10/= only, ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Yes! As you know me, No healthy calf in the name of money ever bypassed me".

I was very horrified at his intimidating voice, but the devil in a green hat goes on to confess, vomiting countless ugly deeds and testimonies. "...I want to tell you something, I hear some little awkward creatures want to strip me naked, eti they want three instead of two, three for what? Do they want to share with me the meals? Now, go and tell them to shut their mouths or else I'll let all my hyenas in my caves to teach them a lesson. Go tell them if they want three, they will end up seeing through their stomachs. Ask them what happened to one parrot in Iringa when he it tried to shout at us, ask them what happened to some squirrels in Arusha. My hyenas are always hungry and ready to scavenge anyone on their way". At this time I almost started peeing. To be frank, things were very strange, I was nauseated with his foul air from his mouth as he chewed his words, but testimony continued and now the devil seemed to be looking at me, his eyes are a pair of bulbs, and he said....

"... let me tell you this, you too are going to join Chifupa and others who think that we are people to be threatened by rats like you". The beast half-human walked towards me. I really do not know what happened, but I saw it directing Simeon to tie me with a rope and he did so, I was like a caged dove. I was tied by my own friend and led to the altar of death. I didn't know what to do, and how would I call this? Betrayal, Ignorance or what? You name it...!

Simeon tied me, very tight while the other friend, just stared not uttering a single word. I asked Simeon, why all this? "You will serve as an example to others who hoot the justice anthem", Simeon replied. I kept quiet as he sent me to the direction of the beast. I felt like traveling inside an abyss not knowing the exact way out. However, little did I know the intention of Simeon, I kept struggling unsuccessful in his giant muscles. He led me and told me to kneel before the beast and apologies before I got to meet my creator. I refused. However, in the meantime the other friend was missing and eventually he appeared behind the beast, holding a Sub Machine Gun, his finger at a triger, and his voice full of command, "untie the young boy Simeon, and tie the beast, abide with our plans". The armed friend roared. Simeon did as what he was instructed. The beast was confused, and tried to force something out of his mouth, "...so.... so.... this... this... what you and your friends have plotted? Simeon, are you betraying me?" Simeon did not bother with the beast's questions and he tied him, both his hands and eyes. Simeon rose his voice top, "boooooys, bring the cross and the nails".

I couldn't believe what was happening. In few minutes, two boys emerged carrying a green nylon cross which had red scribblings on top which ran, BEAST, THE KING OF THE GREEN. The boys put the cross down, and from the huge sack they brought out the 10kg hammer and seven 10inch sharp nails. I was overjoyed as I recalled what Simeon had said earlier; his words echoed in my ears like the cool evening breeze of the Indian ocean, "Comrades, tonight we are going to hunt the beast who steals GOLD from our mines and crucify him", his words resounded in my ears like sweet music of Celine or Shanie. Simeon took a huge stick and gave a sound beating to the tied beast and told him "you womanizer, thief and killer of our people, reveal the one who has beaten you, if you are truly the son of the English man". The beast mumbled something like "father from China, Mother from England and Grand father holy spirit from USA forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing". I laughed bitterly.

I was very angry and took a thorny stick and gave the devil five reasonable strokes and told him to confess his deeds. My friends, what came out of his mouth was disgusting. "... I am responsible for stealing from different farms, but I am specialized in minerals, from Tanzanite to Diamond and the like. I smuggle elephant tusks to my friends in China, and just this evening a container weighing a few 100000000 tonnes of elephant and rhino tusks had pulled out of the Dar port to China. I am also in league with some Swiss banks to whom I want to store my few 1000000000000000000000 US dosh, and I.... I...!" I did not wait him to finish up his story. I Kicked him on his face with the stick, so violently that I felt pity of him. I then commanded him to carry the green cross and head to "the skull" to crucify him. As we moved on, we beat the devil and yelled all the abuse at him., and in sometimes we would tell him to confess, and he would say, "...I have two sugar girls and I've bought them two toys or shopping baskets, a toyota carina for my sugar girl who is at Sinza and I bought an escudo to my sugar girl who is at the university in the city. The two cars worth as few as 200mil TSH." At that time I would slap it in the face. We went on and surprisingly Simeon did support him with carrying the cross, I presumed this was not Simon wa Sirene, the one who helped Jesus! This was Simeon wa Kileo, the optimist and devil opponent.

It was almost 0000hrs when we reached at the place called "the skull" or mabwepande, no! no! it is not mabwepande, I do not know what is wrong with this keyboard. The place is only called 'the skull", very similar to Golgotha if you risk calling it. We took the devil to that place, and I asked the boys, "...give me the hammer and the nails and I'll nail this devil on the cross". They obeyed and gave me. They made him lie on the green cross and they fitted him perfectly on the nylon cross. I took out one 10inch long nail and, I nailed it in his hand beneath the cross, I used the hammer to force the long sharp nail down. The beast gave out a sharp painful groan, but I didn't care, I added one more nail to the same hand. I finished the business at 0015hrs by making the seventh drill of the nail through his navel. He cried loudly forcing out bloody blood out of his body.

The two boys, Simeon and the other friend helped to rise the cross and cemented it down. I looked at it in great satisfactory and sighed, hmm! At least we have won this time, but before we had even stepped away, we heard voices. We hid somewhere to see who was coming, after a few minutes, in the bright moonlight we saw at least ten men in black suits. They went towards the cross. When they assured themselves that the one on the cross was their partner they all broke into a bitter sob. Thereafter, they went near, knelt and prayed. We decided to flee and went back home, exhausted but satisfied.

                                                                                 -END-

"I decided to bring this bite, so that as you have your drink from those cockroach coloured bottles like saffari and serengeti you go on refreshing, reading from this madness! Even for those who take soda or water like me, use that article as a bite to cool your stomach".                                      "Thank you for visiting and you are cordially welcome, time and time, hour and hour to infinite!"

Thinking Objectively

Take a look at this Devilish Behaviour.                        Everyone is fed up with the Makambakamba and Dowans-Richmond Lowasa's abracadabra towards presidential contest s.   January Kaakamba te son of the former Dar DC has recently been quoted saying that he is a new messiah dedicated to lead this poor nation. Who prophesied this fake and unholy mission? Is it the former father or what?           Let Makamba and his fake prophet go back home and re-think again. We Tanzanians are fed up with father-son politics which endangers our country to comma. A careful at these tycoons there is no way one can prove of their sanity. Development in the Underdeveloped

The term ‘’Development’’ has been contended for a number of years. It can be simply asserted as the concept of both convergence and divergence. This means that, when the Tindiga of Dodoma defines or conceptualizes development, the concept will completely differ from that of an indigenous American economist. Consequently, the concept, ‘‘impedes thinking of one’s own objectives as Nyerere wanted; it undermines confidence in oneself and one’s own culture as  Stevenhagen demands; it clamours for management from the top down, against which Jimoh rebelled’’ (Esteva,2010,p.3). Therefore, this collective argument gives a clear preface and it introduces development as a concept of multiple definitions and theories; equally, this troubling concept can be traced far back time immemorial, but it gained momentum soon after the Second World War in 1945, the period famously identified as the turning point of the world history. Thus, in the 1950s various definitions and theories of  develop...
